    Today’s Positive Thought: I always concentrate on the good in all my affairs.

    How do you use the power of positive self talk?

    I am a big workout fanatic and have been since I was fifteen. I love to run and go to the gym. Those are my personal favorite things to do when it comes to my exercise routine.

    It is interesting to me to listen to people talk about their day while they are working out. Mostly, I hear from people what they prefer not to do, rather than what they would like to do.

    But on occasion, we all have to do things we dislike from time to time. You dread doing it! Blah!!! But, you have to do it so you might as well find the bright side in it and, here’s the key… “Choose to enjoy it”.

    One of the most important parts of being happy and succeeding at any given task is acknowledging that you will enjoy anything ten times more when you are happy doing it.

    Positive self-talk provides you with the personal power needed to self-motivate yourself to be successful at what you truly desire to accomplish. On the flip side, with negative self-talk your personal power is self-destructive and you become unmotivated.

    Face it; if you have to do something you hate are you not guilty of having the conversation with yourself about how much you hate doing it? That’s what I hear when someone talks about the dreaded deed for the day. This is exactly what I mean when I say negative self-talk.

    You will enjoy doing anything you have to do regardless of your love for it or not when you hold only positive conversations with yourself that pertain to the enjoyment of doing it.

    So start with this every time you face something that challenges you to do something you don’t want to be doing, look for the gratitude value in it, because it is there. Be thankful for what you have and grateful for the opportunities that will come your way when you open your heart and allow the ‘Universe’ to work with you for the good that is in everything.

    Learn to apply positive self-talk in every situation of your life. The moment you begin applying it you will see positive personal results. Plus, it makes doing anything a whole lot more enjoyable.

    Positive self-talk is the personal power you need to successfully motivate yourself to achieve your goals.
